IF BIGFOOT WERE PROVEN TO EXIST TOMORROW

If Bigfoot were proven to exist tomorrow, what do you think would happen? Would they be put on the endangered species list? Would land be set aside for them to live on? Would they be slaughtered to extinction? Would, after about 50 years or so, something like "Conquest of The Planet of The Apes" happen where after being enslaved by humans/Homo sapiens, the Bigfoots would revolt against us? Or do you envision something else happening?

  1. I believe that they would be put on the endangered species list and hopefully have the protection that they deserve. Setting aside land would seem to be a rough row to hoe since they are so widely spotted and encountered. There would have to be specific areas in almost every state and Canadian province. And who's to say that they would stay confined to those areas. I highly doubt that they would be slaughtered into extiction. What in the world would that prove anyway?? As far as the 50 year or so Sci-Fi scenario, now lets get real here! I believe that if the do exist and I really hope that they do that we should just leave them alone and let them continue to survive as they are. There should not be any scientific probing into a living subject. Sooner or later I figure one is going to get plowed by a semi truck and then we will have the proof and the scientists and other powers that be may will then probe and dissect the body so that they can figure out exactly what species it is.

  2. I don't really see the sci-fi scenario happening either Ted. I just thought I'd throw that out there to see what others thought. I don't see the scenario of them being hunted to extinction to be all that far-fetched though. Somebody might decide it's "cool" to wear a Bigfoot coat or have a Bigfoot head on the wall. Some of those Whitetail ranches make a pretty penny. With the current administration being so anti-fossil fuel, some states, like WV for example, might have to rely more heavily on hunting to generate revenue. I'll bet a Bigfoot stamp would bring a fortune to any state DNR that decided to sell them
